Dear Friends of the Festival:
Please accept this special invitation to attend an encore screening of the festival's first-ever original film, WHEN YOU KNEW.
See and hear how people in our area responded when asked to remember the exact moment they knew they were different from the other boys and girls.
Local filmmaker Lisa Marie Evans took literally hours of taped interviews with LGBT people from all across Kansas City and transformed them into an amazingly entertaining and informative short film. If you missed it in the fesitval, enjoy it now for free on....
Sunday, September 21 7:00pm Unity Temple on the Plaza 47th & Jefferson, KCMO
Request your FREE ADVANCE TICKETS here.
This encore screening of WHEN YOU KNEW is part of a special program that we were asked to put together to welcome the National LGBTQ Tobacco Summit to Kansas City. And, there's more than just a movie available to you, too.
At 7:30pm (following the film screening), author/educator Dr. Bob Minor leads an open dialogue about the current challenges LGBT people and our allies are facing. Discover why it’s so difficult to stay healthy in all areas of our lives and in our relationships. And how best deal with the dysfunctional, addictive institutions and people working against us - without losing our sanity?
At 6:30pm (before the film) come early and get a lift-up at a quick and easy De-Stress Event led by Darryl Olive of KCFitnessLink.com. As a teacher, trainer and avid practitioner, Darryl Olive brings over a decade of experience in helping people achieve their health and fitness goals. Just come as you are - no special attire. He’ll get you breathing, stretching and de-stressing!

Attend the film, the community dialogue or de-stress event...or all three, if your schedule allows. Read more about the GAY & HEALTHY Program at our website, where you can click-through to learn more about the presenters and the National LGBTQ Tobacco Summit being held at the Sheraton Suites on the Plaza, September 22-23.
Request your FREE ADVANCE TICKETS via email. Then simply pick them up that evening at Unity Temple on the Plaza. NOTE: Remaining tickets will be $8 at the door.
